Sharing Snippet Groups With A URL

What is URL Sharing?

URL sharing allows you to generate a public link so you can share your Snippets with other TextExpander users. This is perfect if you have a blog, YouTube channel, or another community.

How to turn on URL sharing for a Snippet Group

1. Sign in to your TextExpander.com account, select “My Snippets” from the left sidebar.
2. Click on the Snippet Group you’d like to share and select “Settings” at the top.
3. Scroll to the bottom and select the URL sharing radio button to toggle it on.
4. This will generate a public URL that can be shared.

If you’re using the TextExpander Mac or Windows app, simply select the Snippet Group you’d like to share, click on the cog icon, then click the “Share” arrow on the top right. You’ll be redirected to the TextExpander web app, where you can follow the instructions above.

Tips

• The Snippet Group will not appear in Public Groups. Learn how to publish to a Public Group here.
• Remember, this is a public URL. Anyone with a TextExpander account will be able to access the Snippets in the Snippet Group.
• If you no longer wish to share the Snippet Group, select the radio button to make the Snippet Group private again.
