Share Snippet Groups With Everyone in Your Organization

As an organization admin or member, you can easily share a Snippet Group with everyone in your Organization. Snippet Groups that are shared with everyone in your organization will also be shared with new members that are added to your account in the future.

How to share a Snippet Group with everyone in your organization

1. Sign in to your TextExpander.com account and select “My Snippets” from the left sidebar, under your name.
2. Find the Snippet Group you’d like to share and click the ‘Invite Users’ icon on the right.
3. Click on “Just Me” to expand the dropdown.
4. Select “Everyone” and confirm your selection by clicking “Add Everyone” in the pop up.

How to unshare a Snippet Group

If you no longer want to share a Snippet Group with everyone, you can stop sharing it by changing the sharing option to “Just Me”. This will bulk remove everyone and unshare the Snippet Group.

How admins can review newly shared Snippet Groups

If you’re an organization admin, you have complete visibility into all of your organization’s shared Snippet Groups. 

When a Snippet Group is shared, it gets added to your organization’s Snippet Group library. To help you differentiate between existing Snippet Groups and newly added ones, you’ll see a teal dot next to the new Snippet Groups. This dot signifies the Snippet Group has not yet been reviewed by an administrator.

By clicking on the Snippet Group’s action menu, you can mark it as reviewed (which will remove the dot), change who it’s shared with, rename it, or delete it to help keep your organization’s Snippet library organized and approved. You can also filter the Snippet Group list to view only unreviewed Snippets or see Snippets you’ve already reviewed.

Tips

• This has replaced the Auto-join feature.
• Everyone in your organization, including new members added to your account in the future, will inherently gain access to that Snippet Group.
