TextExpander only expands the letter “v”
You’re likely using a Remote Desktop Protocol with TextExpander installed on your own device instead of the RDP. This causes issues as we rely on Command-V / Control-V to expand snippets, and what you’re experiencing is the V of those respective shortcuts. (This paste is often too quick to traverse a remote connection.)
For this to work, you will need to have TextExpander installed and running on the Remote Desktop Protocol and expansion disabled for that RDP on the local computer (i.e. the computer you are physically in front of).
How to disable expansion to your RDP from your Locally Installed TextExpander Application
- Open TextExpander’s Preferences > Expansion window and locate “Expand Snippet Groups.”
- Select “All Applications, Except” and then select the RDP you want to exclude.
