Whether you are starting fresh with TextExpander, upgrading from an earlier version, or have a Life Hacker account and want to switch to a Team account, follow the directions in our Help for setting up a TextExpander Organization for your team.
This will guide you through creating the organization, adding shared groups, and adding your organization members.
If you are upgrading from a previous version, you do need to create a TextExpander.com account first.
Set Up Billing
Once you’ve created the organization, open the organization’s settings.
- Sign in to your TextExpander.com account
- Choose “Admin” to the left of your account name then select Billing
- Choose Set Up Subscription
From there, follow the screens to set up a payment plan, choosing monthly or annually payments, and a payment method, such as a credit card.
Billing works on credits, you will pre-purchase one credit per user per month.
If you have a Life Hacker account, this is all separate from your individual account payments. As a part of the Organization, you, and all the other organization members, are now paid for by the organization.
